Title: [Star Wars D6 REUP] On the Other Side [3/6 | 3]
Post by: Hawkins on April 12, 2017, 12:14:20 PM
Hello, I'm hoping to find players/run this game, it's been in the back of my mind for a couple of years.

System: Star Wars D6 REUP
Style: A mix, expect some political shenanigans and lots of turbolasers and proton torpedoes.
Players: 3-6
Starting Info: Standard Starting plus a few extras(will detail below)
Skill Level: Some knowledge of Star Wars,
Posting Expectations: Every other day
Restrictions: Humans or Near-Humans, Droids, no aliens
Notes: I've DM'd Star Wars in all of it's interations.
Joining Instructions: Post your character here
edit: Because I forgot to add this originally, it will be set a year prior to the events of Episode IV

Notes:

The PCs are members of the Imperial Navy, but somehow you've managed to get yourselves in a small speck of trouble. Not enought that a Court Martial or Summary Execution is warranted, but possibly career-ending. Each of your characters receives a message packet,

                Imperial Communiqué 110450

(Name and Rank) is hereby ordered to report to Commander, Eriadu immediately, for reassignment to To Be Determined By Commander, Eriadu.

Servicemember is authorized travel expenses at the standard rate, and will retain current rank and rate or accept promotion as needed to fill organizational chart.

Servicemember is authorized and required to bring one (1) regulation travel bag(s), or "go-bag(s)," to include uniforms and personal effects.

Leave immediately.

I'm hoping for something along the lines of Down Periscope, A-team, every other Ragtag bunch of military misfits.

Hi I'd love to join but I'm new to the Star Wars D6 system but I'm familiar with the D6 system in general.  Will that be OK?

Also for equipment - what do we start with?

That is perfectly fine.

Equipment wise: If you pick a Template, it has a list of equipment and credits that it comes with. If you make a template, use the follwing.

Blaster Pistol, Imperial Navy Uniform, Datapad, Code Cylinder, Comlink, 1,000 credits

Can we use advantages/disadvantages in creating the character or is that non-standard?

yes, but keep it within reason for a member of the Imperial Navy

May I present, Derickon Zagu, Imperial Navy Maintenance Support.

Derickon, or Deck as some of the crew calls him, was born in planet Nubia.  He didn't know his mother.  His father, who was one of the high speed hover pod racers, cared for him along with their pod repair droid, Gear.  During one of the high speed races, an explosion destroyed and killed his father leaving Deck in the care of his droid and uncle.  His uncle owned a shipping business and there Deck learned more about repairing transports.  Deck loved learning about machines and tinkering with them.  This led him to being recruited in the Imperial Engineer Academy.  There he learned more about starfighters and eventually led him closer to his dream of seeing bigger and better ships and technology.  He soon enlisted in the Navy and landed with the support division with his skills.

I attached the stats and I used a advantage/disadvantage (obsessive tendencies) if its ok.  Also for equipment, I spent credits so that I could equip him with some repair tools if that's ok.  I noted their credit cost on the sheet and rounded up to 400 credits spent(Imperial taxes and all).  Let me know if he needs tweaking or changing.

Welcome aboard Ensign Zagu.

As for the character everything looks in order. All I ask now is, via PM, we can discuss what would be the reason Deck would be shuffled off to a remote part of the Empire.

Davin Creel reporting for duty sir,

I'm from Corellia, born and raised. Grew up watching starships being built in Coronet city. I knew from the first time I laid eyes on some of those beauties I had to fly one of them. I lived my life like any other would until I turned 18 according to the Galactic Standard Calendar. I was able to get a job helping build starships. That's when I really learned my love for flying. You see sir, I decided I would be a little stupid and took one of the TIEs we had finished out for a joy ride. Now obviously the garrison on Corellia didn't like that too much so they gave chase. Sir let me tell you, I had out flew all but one of the TIEs sent to catch me. Seeing this must have impressed someone up the chain, so instead of being shipped to a spice mine they offered me a job. After some formal training of course.

Note: I think I finished the template right @Hawkins but you may need to look over it to be sure.

Edit: attached character sheet to orignial post and notes
