If you would like to JOIN a Game

Reply to the game post (you can find game posts in the "Looking for Players" forum (http://irate-pirate.org/index.php?board=16.0)) with the information included in the GM's Joining Instructions.

If a game is in the Looking for Players section, there are still openings.
"Looking for Players" posts don't get moved until they max out their roster slots.  You should be able to tell how many slots are still open by the Roster Bracket.
What is a roster bracket?

A Roster Bracket is a tag that allows members to easily see how many players have been accepted into a game thus far.  As a game fills up, the game moderator will update the roster bracket to accurately display any open roster slots.
A roster bracket is formatted as follows:
[(Number of Accepted Players)/(Maximum number of players) | (Minimum number of players to start)]
So, for example:  [0/5 | 3].  This would be updated as members join to [1/5 | 3], [2/5 | 3], etc.


When the game meets its minimum number of players, a game forum is made and a link posted in the LFP thread.
From there, the GM will keep in touch with you about the next steps for starting the game.

Once a game's roster is full, the LFP post will be moved to the new forum and a temporary redirect link will be left in its place!

Also keep in mind that occasionally a game will have a player drop out, and the GM doesn't always post the new availability.  Most GMs won't mind if you send them a Private Message inquiring whether their game has any open spots!


If you would like to run a game
Please make a new post in "Looking for Players" (http://irate-pirate.org/looking-for-players/) with the following information!

For the post title, please include: Game Tag, The name of your campaign, Roster Bracket

What is a Game Tag?

Most games have an existing tag.  For example: Dungeons & Dragons, Fifth Edition = "D&D 5E", World of Darkness = "WoD", etc.  If you're running a free-style campaign, tag it with [Freestyle].

What is a Roster Bracket?

A Roster Bracket is a tag that allows the admin team to easily see how many players you have in your game so far.  As your game fills up, please edit your first post and update the roster bracket so people looking at games can see if there are still open slots.
Your roster bracket should be formatted as follows:

Then in the body of the post, include
Game System (and edition if applicable)
Game Style (Dungeon Crawl, Mystery/Detective, Political, Puzzle, various mixes)
Players (please update this with @mentions of accepted players)
Player Skill Expectations
Starting Character Information (level/XP/applicable info)
Posting Expectations (Daily, weekly, etc)
Restrictions (No evil characters, no Trolls, etc)
Any other notes you have

Style: Mix of political, mystery, and hack & slash
